EXPAND ARTICLE TO SEE YUKIE ON FILM!
In Japan, all you have to do is mention, Yukie Nakama, and the response is the same…”Oh, I love her! She is sooo beautiful!”
Yukie was born in 1979 in Okinawa, Japan, in a fisherman’s family, the youngest of five siblings.
The very popular actress and singer holds an appeal in Japan the way American’s love Britney spears. At the start of her career she was a gravure idol and singer (her debut single “Moonlight to Daybreak” was released in 1996), and she appeared in bit roles until her career breakthrough playing Sadako in “Ring 0: Birthday (2000).”
In 2000, Nakama demonstrated her talent for comedy with her lead role in the Japanese television drama Trick which proved so popular that it had two more seasons and three film versions, but it was the top-rating TV series Gokusen (2002), a live-action version of the popular manga, that established her as one of Japan’s most popular and bankable actresses. So one might also say she is in Japan what Julia Roberts is in the United States. Hmmm.
MakePeace.org would like to thank Yukie for her recent comments regarding world peace and how much the people in Japan support all world peace causes.
We will be working on getting her to visit our website soon. Hopefully with some nice Japanese comments and maybe a nice video made especially to promote WORLD PEACE!!!
Go Yukie! WE’RE IN LOVE WITH YOU TOO!
Watch the video slide show of Yukie and you can see why her special charm is so popular!~
